Ireland V England 28/11/2009
Smithboro boxing club welcomed members of St. Pauls boxing club & Yorkshire for a evening of quality
boxing at McDermot park, Threemilehouse.
Taking on an "Ireland V England" format, the visiting fighters put on a impressive display. There were 14
fights in all and proved to be a great night of boxing.
This was the first time a English team had ever visited Monaghan and it was a night not to have disappointed
the home fans with boxing at its very best.
Special thanks to Mike Bromby (St. Pauls team coach) for helping put the event together and also to
coaches Paul Kershaw, Frank Aitchison and Jimmy Stevenson

to the final he beat the highly fancied Darran Pollock from the St Agnes ABC Belfast (3 times all Ireland champion) In his
third and final fight he outboxed Donal McIlroy from the Poleglass club Belfast. Adrain never droped a point in all of his
